The Fruit of Suitable Helpers

"The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." - Psalms 121: 5-8

How great is it to go into this holiday season feeling so abundantly thankful. Thankful for the people I wake up to serve each day, thankful for the family I have to care for, thankful for the God that cares for me.

I choose to end this year on a high note. My new beginnings will not wait to start on January first, nor will I wreckon that a resolution needs to happen for action to follow. The Lord is working all things out for my favor, in all ways, all the time. My life is the proof, as scripture says: the fruit tells the story.

Those who I align with are reflections of my fruit. In all things, Christ works out his manifestations with the alignment towards what is right and what is good and what is worthy of being spoken about. Each day I am appreciative for the blink of an eye that is my time on this Earth, each morning a rising with an opportunity to touch someone, to help someone, to be a gift along the path.

Genesis 2:18 states that God will make a "suitable helper" along the way. This verse reminds me of my late babushka, Galina. When I would be tasked with assisting her in some say, she would always say in broken English "you are my the best helper". I will always hold that compliment close to my heart. When she fell ill in 2019 and 2020, it was those exact words that rang in my head when I made my decision to uproot myself from Charlotte and move back home to support her. Family will always come first.

I am a helper by nature, placed here to intentionally bless and support others along their journey. I believe this is why God made me gifted, made me creative, made me loving.

It is to Him I give the glory, and to Him I owe my heart.
